Our client is a young innovative, international and ambitious company, active in the field of green chemistry and biomaterials. Already recognized for its breakthrough technologies and unique intellectual property worldwide, it has just completed a major funding round. The challenge: accelerate the industrialization of an eco-responsible technology capable of replacing fossil plastics.
They are looking for a highly motivated Deputy Chief Scientific Officer (M/F/X).
🚀 MISSIONS
Under the direct responsibility of the Scientific Director, you will play a key role in structuring and managing R&D.
- Assimilate and reformulate scientific knowledge related to the chromatogeny process
- Finely understand the effects of the process on materials, their transformations and final properties
- Conduct characterization campaigns and validate performance: hydrophobicity, grease resistance, permeability, etc.
- Propose innovative research paths through reverse engineering
- Interact with academic and industrial partners in France, Japan, Europe and the USA
- Participate in scientific conferences, identify new ideas or collaborations
- Contribute to R&D strategy, project development and global scientific management

🧑🚀RESEARCHED PROFILE
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
You hold a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry, polymers or related field. You have 8 years of experience managing complex research projects and you have already industrialized technologies from your work. Experience in biomimetics or bio-inspired research would be an undeniable asset for this position.
TECHNICAL SPHERE
- Mastery of grafting processes, surface functionalization
- Good skills in analytical chemistry and materials characterization
- Curiosity for biochemistry, biomaterials and biomimetics
- Excellent understanding of intellectual property issues: you have already filed several patents during your career
